Four arrests in south Wales over terror fund allegations
The Metropolitan Police say four men have been arrested and bailed in mid and south Wales on allegations of being in possession of funds for terrorist purposes.
Raids took place in Pontardawe, Swansea and Powys involving officers from the force’s Counter Terrorism Command between 2-3 February.
All four were taken to a central London police station.
They have been granted bail until late May.
Two men aged 34 and 45 were arrested at the same commercial premises in Pontardawe.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at a house in Swansea. And 37-year-old man was arrested at a house in Powys.
A force spokesman said the men were arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, adding that the alleged offence is under section 16 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
